There is an area of Cairo that is known as Garbage City. The people who live there collect garbage from around the city and sort through it. In the same community, there is a recycling center that has been created to help children, youth and women make a living by using recycling products to make bags, quilts, paper cards and other goods to sell.
This woman is weaving on a loom to produce a hand made patchwork floor mat.
