The pastor from First Baptist Orlando spoke to us tonight about Paul and his mission. Throughout the book of Acts, Paul has a strong desire to go to Rome in order to preach the gospel and reach the nations. The idea of "Rome" was used as an illustration for a certain ministry or project that God has placed on our hearts. For Lori and I, our "Rome" is to create a safe haven in Africa for orphans and youth. At times, we wonder how to begin and how to make this a reality. But Pastor encouraged us to never forget our Rome and to work towards it.
Lori and I feel that God has given us this desire to reach out to the children and youth of Africa. We are beginning to pray now for God to open doors if it's His will.
